♦ The Shades of Love

heartsThe Ancient Greeks had at least seven words for love, to describe the many existing varieties of this emotion. This concert will explore the best of them! Highlights include Schumann’s Frauenliebe und Leben, and the Waltz From Tchaikovsky’s String Serenade. Our soloists are: Cassandra Warner, Mezzo-Soprano; Sara Schabas, Soprano; and past OCO Youth Concerto Competition Winner Tiffany Yeung, violin.

Each year, OCO selects a Grand Prize Winner from our Senior and Junior categories to perform an entire concerto with the OCO. This is an artistic highlight of our season as these extraordinarily talented young people present great works — an event not to be missed!
